Welcome to the Wop Wops Wetland Park. The park is an ongoing conservation project with our chief efforts concentrated on helping the native New Zealand longfin eel and educating communities about these wonderful creatures.
We welcome the public in feeding the eels in a way that is both fun for the kids and good for the eels. For the health of our slippery friends we request that you DO NOT FEED THEM BREAD. During business hours, suitable eel food can be picked up from the New Zealand Natural Clothing shop. The staff may even be able to join you and tell you a bit about the eels and our ongoing developments.
